The Essential-Liberalism Manifesto (Article IX)
IX. RIGHTS OF A PARENT
1. Right to joint
custody: Both parents having child custody are to
share it jointly when married, and, upon divorce, the default legal
position is also joint legal and joint physical custody.
2. Equal legal parental rights and
responsibilities: Both parents having child custody
are to have equal legal parental rights and responsibilities,
including the right to maintain a direct and personal relationship
with their child, unless a court determines otherwise.
3. State to provide special benefits to
the family: The state is to provide special legal
benefits to the family in recognition of it being a fundamental and
vital building block of society.
